Assam Craft is involved in making beautiful Eri and Muga silk stoles and dupattas Eri and muga is one of the ethnic varieties of silk produced in Assam. This word is derived from Assamese word ‘era’ which means castor. Larva of Eri silk feeds on castor leaves. The Texture of Eri Silk is more cottony, fine and smooth. It is very durable and strong. It is often said that the Eri silk cloths outlive its owner. It is heavy and dark in color so it can be easily blended with cotton and wool. Our Eri stoles are handmade, hundred percent natural and Eco friendly. For coloring we use Vegetable dyes.
